What plants can I grow in it?

You can grow almost anything. XSITU lets you adjust humidity, lighting, and airflow through the companion app — so you can create the exact microclimate your plants need.

It’s especially well-suited for:

Aroids like Anthurium, Philodendron, Monstera or Alocasia
Hoyas
Orchids 
Terrarium begonias or any other terrarium plants
Carnivorous plants 
Seedlings & cuttings
Seed starting
Herbs, micro-greens and vegetables

Whether you're diplaying mature plants or propagating new ones, XSITU adapts to your collection — not the other way around.

Can I adjust humidity or lighting?

Accepted Answer

Yes — every XSITU unit is fully climate-controlled. You can adjust humidity, airflow,  lighting and plant watering system independently through the companion app. Lights are dimmable, full-spectrum LEDs, with individual control zones for each shelf. You can tailor light cycles and intensities based on the needs of specific plants.

When will it be available?

We’re currently in the final stages of prototyping and pilot testing, with early models presented at Milan Design Week and MyBotanika Netherlands 2025.
Our goal is to begin taking first orders at MyBotanika Hamm on October 4, 2025, depending on readiness and availability. You can sign up now to receive early access updates, preorder details, and priority allocation once the product becomes available.

Is it plug-and-play?

Yes. Every XSITU unit is fully climate-controlled and ships fully assembled and tested. Just plug it in, connect to the app, and you’re ready to grow.
You’ll only need to fill the integrated water reservoir to activate the humidity and irrigation system — no tools, wiring, or setup required. Everything is ready out of the box.

Can I order a custom version?

Yes — we offer fully custom builds, whether you need a freestanding unit with special dimensions or an integrated installation tailored to your interior. If you’re interested in a custom version, email us at info@xsitucabinet.com

We’re allocating a limited number of bespoke projects and will prioritize early requests based on feasibility and availability.

How much does it cost?

Pricing hasn’t been finalized yet — XSITU is currently in the pre-launch phase. As a fully climate-controlled system with high-end components, it will be positioned in line with premium plant care and display products.
We’ll be announcing full pricing tiers closer to our launch at MyBotanika Hamm (October 2025). If you’re signed up for early access, you’ll receive pricing details, preorder options, and priority availability as soon as they’re released.
